Wüsthof Classic Blade: Razor‑Sharp Stainless Steel
Each blade is crafted from chromium‑vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) and forged from a single piece of steel. Using Wüsthof’s PEtec technology, the sharpening angle is computer‑calculated and then precisely honed on a wet sharpening stone. After inspection, every knife leaves the production line ready for intensive daily use.
Wüsthof’s specialised steel treatment results in a hardness of 58 Rockwell, ensuring excellent edge retention. When the blade eventually needs refreshing, a few passes over a honing steel restore its razor‑sharp performance.
Wüsthof Classic Handle: Sustainable and Hygienic
The ergonomic handle is made from durable black POM, a material designed to withstand common kitchen substances. The handle is seamlessly triple‑riveted to the forged blade, preventing dirt from accumulating between components. The full bolster provides added safety by shielding fingers from the cutting edge.
